Study of biomarkers for the diagnosis/progression of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Our lab is also conducting multiple translational studies for biomarker discovery, focusing on the identification of biofluid biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease (AD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in collaboration with clinical studies and and centers, such as Crozer Hospital, the NYU Alzheimer’s Disease Center and the NYU Department of Psychiatry.
For these studies, we use well-established assays, as well as state-of-the-art technologies for the detection of blood biomarkers at very low concentrations, including the ultrasensitive Quanterix Simoa, which is present in our lab.
